Your relationship with Gogos

Independent contractor

You are an independent contractor, not an employee. Gogos does not withhold taxes. You are responsible for self-employment taxes and filing your own returns.

Non-exclusive

You may tutor on other platforms. You may not solicit Gogos students to other platforms or offer private tutoring to students you met through Gogos.

Platform license

Gogos grants you a limited, revocable license to use the platform to deliver tutoring services. This license ends when your account is closed or suspended.

Intellectual property

Lesson plans, recaps, and content you create on Gogos are yours. Gogos may use anonymized session data for platform improvement with your consent.

Platform rules

Accurate representation

Your profile must accurately reflect your qualifications and subject expertise. Misrepresentation is grounds for immediate removal.

One account per tutor

You may not create multiple accounts. Creating a secondary account to circumvent a suspension results in permanent ban.

Rate integrity

You may not offer students a rate below the platform rate, accept tips, or accept payment outside the platform for Gogos-sourced sessions.

Acceptable use

You may not use Gogos infrastructure to distribute spam, scrape data, or conduct activities unrelated to tutoring.

Liability & disputes

Limitation of liability

Gogos is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, to the extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Gogos against claims arising from your conduct on the platform, misrepresentation, or violation of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.

Dispute resolution

Disputes are resolved via binding arbitration administered by JAMS, except you may bring claims in small claims court for qualifying matters.
