What we collect

Identity & contact

Legal name, email address, phone number, and government ID (collected by our verification partner — Gogos never stores the raw document).

Banking information

Routing and account number for direct deposit, collected and encrypted by Stripe. Gogos stores only the last 4 digits for display.

Session data

Session timestamps, subject, duration, student rating, recap content. Video is not recorded or retained unless you enable recording with student consent.

Device & usage

Browser type, IP address, and in-app navigation patterns for security monitoring and product improvement. No fingerprinting or cross-site tracking.

How we use it

Platform operations

Matching you with students, processing payouts, calculating S-Rank scores, and sending session reminders.

Safety & trust

Fraud detection, background check verification, and reviewing reports of policy violations.

Product improvement

Aggregated, anonymized usage data to improve matching, scheduling, and the session experience. Never sold to third parties.

Legal compliance

Tax reporting (1099-NEC), responding to valid legal requests, and GDPR/CCPA obligations.

Your rights

Access & export

Request a full export of your data within 7 days via Settings → Privacy → Export my data.

Correction

Update incorrect profile information at any time in Settings. Legal-name corrections require ID reverification.

Deletion

Close your account to delete profile and session data. Tax records are retained for 7 years per IRS requirements.

Opt-out of analytics

Disable usage-pattern tracking in Settings → Privacy. Core session data cannot be disabled as it's required for payouts and ratings.
