The contract every S-Rank tutor lives by.
Plain-English version of what we expect from you and what students expect from you. The legal text is in the tutor agreement; this is the operational version.
The contract
What we ask from every Gogos tutor.
Eight rules. Half are about effort, half are about boundaries. We enforce both equally.
Do
Show up on time
Be in the room 2 minutes before session start. Less than 1% of Gogos sessions start late — that's the bar.
Teach what's on the agenda
Stick to the booked subject. If the student wants help in a different area, end the session and rebook.
Push for understanding
Don't just give answers. Make the student verbalize the why behind every step. That's what S-Rank looks like.
Leave a real recap
Every session ends with a 3-bullet recap of what was covered, what's next, and what to practice. The AI drafts it — you finalize it.
Don't
Don't take students off-platform
Booking outside Gogos is grounds for permanent removal. It also costs the student their cancellation protection and the recap tooling.
Don't do the student's homework
Helping them solve it is the job; doing it for them isn't. If you can't tell the difference, this isn't a fit.
Don't promise outcomes
No grade guarantees, no test-score promises. Talk in terms of skill improvement, not letter grades.
Don't share student info
Session content stays between you, the student, and any linked parent. Even after the relationship ends.
What S-Rank means
Five things you have to pass and keep passing.
The bar isn't a one-time pass — it's a standard you keep clearing every month.
Application
15-point experience review, references checked, identity verified.
Subject placement
Pass a written + oral subject test in every subject you want to teach.
Interview
30-minute live interview with both a Gogos educator and our AI interviewer. Both must say yes.
Background check
Standard criminal + identity + sex-offender registry. We run it; you stay free unless you fail it.
Ongoing performance
Maintain a 4.6/5 student rating and ≥ 92% session-completion rate. Two consecutive months below either threshold drops you off the bench.
Reporting & questions
Something off with a student, a session, or another tutor?
Email trust@gogosedu.com. Tutor reports are reviewed by a human within 24 hours; urgent ones within an hour.
